I’m David Koontz, the General Manager of Key West office of Realty Mortgage Corporation. I opened this office about eight years ago and over these years we've originated over 200 residential mortgages valued at more than $45 million throughout the Keys and Florida.

Most lenders generally prefer not to work with self-employed or credit-challenged borrowers... They rarely explore the wide variety or creative solutions that exist in today's financial marketplace. About David Koontz, I'm a problem solver and deal maker... In addition to being a loan officer and General Manager for Realty Mortgage, Key West. I once developed a 116-slip marina and 86 home subdivision; I was also a theatrical film and TV commercials producer in LA for over 20 years, during which time I was the Executive Producer of Paramount's “Mommie Dearest”. I purchased a 500 acre abandoned cattle ranch in San Luis Obispo California and developed a premium French styled vineyard and 50,000 case winery. I’ve had the good fortune to produce “Lyrics by Ira Gershwin” a full book musical at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angels. It starred Frank Sinatra, Lisa Minnelli, Tony Bennett, Ethel Merman, Bernadette Peters, Nancy Walker, Rock Hudson.

So, If you think a getting mortgage can sometimes be a challenge … someday, when you’re in the office I’ll tell you how I got Sinatra and Minnelli to perform in that "Ira Gershwin" production. Remember solving problems is my specialty.
